Outside of his work as a drill designer and visual educator,
Robert is a performing trombonist and low brass teacher.

Robert holds his Master’s Degree in Performance Pedagogy from Arizona State University, where he studied with Dr. Brad Edwards. His Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education was earned at Seton Hall University, where he studied with Douglas Purviance and Anthony Mazzocchi.

Currently, Robert manages a private lesson studio for low brass musicians and works for the non-profit organization Harmony Project. He is the trombone section coach for the Sun Devil Marching Band and instructs the Mountain Ridge High School trombone choir. His work also has him regularly collaborating with band directors, coaching low brass sections and small ensembles, and giving masterclasses for high school-level students.

Robert's performance experience includes being a featured soloist with the Arizona State University Wind Ensemble and performing with groups such as Salt River Brass, The North Valley Symphony, The Nick Maluf Virtual Big Band, Millenial Choirs and Orchestras, and more.
